Acquired Brain Injury Division Director

The ABI Division Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Division of ARCA including but not limited to the development, marketing, and management of treatment programs for people living with acquired brain injuries, the related operations of the NM Brain Injury Resource Center (NM BIRC), ARCA Janitorial Services, and ARCA Smart Travel Program.  The ABI Division Director must take hands-on ownership of emergent or crises situations to ensure health and safety and achieve positive outcomes for staff and persons served.  Acts as an expert on brain injury related issues, teaches staff, volunteers and other groups with affiliated interests to work effectively with people living with acquired brain injuries; provides professional guidance.  The ABI Division Director represents ARCA and maintains productive relationships with the general public, professional organizations, and governmental bodies.  The ABI Division Director is responsible for maintaining accurate program records for regular review and evaluation.  The ABI Division Director collaborates with the CFO to develop and implement sound fiscal guidelines and management practices.  Responsible for administering project budgets, ensuring accounting of revenues and expenditures, and timely billing of services.  The ABI Division Director is responsible for overall safety, health and risk management within the ABI Division.  The ABI Division Director collaborates with the Quality Council to develop, track, and meet all stoplight metrics and ensures remediation of all underperforming metrics.  The ABI Division Director ensures employee and volunteer supervision in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, and ARCA Policies and Procedures, including equal employment opportunity and affirmative action and collaborates with the Human Resources Director/Team to achieve stated objectives.  The ABI Division Director will work directly with the President/CEO to implement ARCA’s vision, mission, values and strategic plan, develop goals, growth strategies, program objectives and evaluation procedures for all services within the Division.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services related field from an accredited university is required.  A minimum of five years program management, acquired brain injury treatment program development and implementation, including supervision, and financial management experience is required.  Certified Brain Injury specialist Trainer (CBIST) certification preferred, Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification required within 90 days of employment.  Knowledge and expertise working with workmen’s compensation carriers, commercial insurance carriers, Managed Care Organizations, and private Health Care Providers preferred.  Must have demonstrated experience and skills in leadership, problem-solving, public relations, and organization development. Experience working in a non-profit organization is preferred. Demonstrated expertise working with Microsoft Office and other software applications is required.

Entry Level Instructors (Full-time and Part-time)

ARCA is currently recruiting for full-time and part-time Instructors to work weekend and night awake shifts. Instructors will teach and support adults with developmental disabilities in a supported living or independent living setting. Staff will assist individuals to live in a healthy safe environment and teach daily living skills including behavior, communication and social skills as well as community-based skills. Instructors will assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and leisure activities. Will accompany and supervise individuals while on community outings and serve as an appropriate role model. Will assist individuals to find meaningful community activities and provide transportation as needed. High School Diploma/GED is required. Weekend positions require a valid NM driver’s license and a good driving record. Driving is not required for most night awake positions.

Pay: $10.00-$11.50/hour after all training completed and DOE

Substitutes (Weekend and night awake shifts)

Substitutes are heavily utilized at ARCA to cover vacancies and employee time off. With a workforce of over 750, Substitutes fill in for regular staff when they away from work or to cover job vacancies. We currently have a need for Substitutes that can work weekends and or night/awake shifts. This is an excellent opportunity to familiarize new employees with ARCA’s varied work locations. Substitutes accept and decline work based on their preferences and availability. This position is a perfect opportunity for those employees that prefer a very flexible and varied schedule. High school Diploma/GED is required. Weekend positions require a valid NM driver’s license and a good driving record. Driving is not required for most night awake positions.

Pay: $9.00/hour
