ARCA began La Paloma in 1984 with the vision of providing quality, productive vocational experiences for adults with developmental disabilities. Since that time La Paloma has evolved into a premier program that teaches life, interpersonal and vocational skills through horticultural training.

Located on four acres in beautiful Corrales, we grow more than 28,000 plants and flowers annually, which includes our world-class holiday poinsettia crop. Ordering information.

Currently serving 23 adults with developmental disabilities, our program is growing with a new enterprise, ARCA Organics. This new business expands our current operation growing organic wheatgrass for local businesses in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

Staying true to our founder’s mission, that individuals with developmental disabilities have the opportunity to be part of our community, La Paloma actively participates in a variety of community activities. We also currently have several community contracts such as producing “chili lights” through a contract with Casa Noel and working with Sandia Casino to maintain their 120 ft. planter box.

La Paloma is just another example of one of the innovative and unique programs that have made ARCA the model for other agencies in our industry.
