2008 ARCA Apple Mountain Camp
"Aaarrrrh Matey" was the chant of this year's camp. Why? The theme for the dance was "Pirates!" Everyone had fun with this and incorporated it into the games, arts & crafts and wellness classes at ARCA Apple Mountain Camp. There were over 100 campers who enjoyed the multitude of planned activities.
Many of us at ARCA were wondering if we would have camp due to forest fires that hit close to Manzano Mountain Retreat. Fortunately for MMR, minimal damage in the camp area made it possible for ARCA to continue the 9th year of our tradition of having camp.
Our thanks goes out to the wonderful people who helped with offsetting costs of camp and most importantly giving individuals in ARCA's care the opportunity to attend camp. Not everyone is able to afford the fees to come to camp and your donations made it possible for 15 additional campers to enjoy the wilderness and camaraderie of camp. As you can see by the photos, the campers had a great time and were talking about what we could do for camp 2009 — our 10'th anniversary of camp!

The cost for overnight camp is $350.00 and day camp is $50.00 per day. We already have 5 people on the waiting list and we anticipate more will need financial assistance. Your gift can enable those people to attend camp. Won't you help make memories?

- $50 - tuition for one camper to attend 1 day at day camp
- $50 - medical supplies
- $100 - arts & crafts supplies for 10 people
- $150 - tuition for one camper to attend all 3 days of day camp
- $150 - supplies for dance night-Camper's most anticipated event, which is held the last night of camp!
- $350 - tuition for one camper to attend overnight camp
