I need a break
ARCA provides respite for families who have chosen to care for their loved ones at home, both children and adults with developmental disabilities. The Respite Department coordinates the on call deployment of caring and highly trained Direct Support Professionals 24-7-365.
Respite provides relief, relaxation and peace of mind for surrogates or natural and foster families providing daily care for persons with developmental disabilities. Trained Direct Support Professionals provide respite by assuming temporary responsibility for the delivery of daily living activities that promote each person's health, safety, inclusion in the community and recreation. For the families, knowing they have on-call respite staff available helps them assume a long-term role and have peace of mind.
