In Independent Living each person is provided with a set number of weekly staff support hours to help them work in the community, navigate public transportation systems, access personal medical care and manage medications, budget and pay bills, participate in community recreation and take vacations. Our Independent Living Team members serve as role models and mentor each person to help them maintain their valued independence.

Independent Living Services helps 65+ individuals with developmental disabilities realize their potential and dreams of self-sufficiency and inclusion by helping them use their own unique skills and talents as an active member of the community.

ARCA provides two unique independent living models: a private apartment complex with on-site staffing, therapeutic swimming pool and a community room at Sandia View as well as a three-person home with more extensive staff supports for individuals with higher levels of need.
