I love what I do

ARCA began the La Paloma Program in 1984 with the vision of providing quality, productive vocational experiences for adults with developmental disabilities. Since that time La Paloma has evolved into a premier program that teaches life, interpersonal and vocational skills through horticultural training for 23 individuals in our care.

Located on three acres in beautiful Corrales, we grow more than 28,000 plants and flowers annually, including our world-class holiday poinsettia crop. Please take a look at our Spring 2010 and Poinsettia Catalogs.

In June 2004, our business venture, ARCA Organics, was incorporated onto this facility. Our product line was expanded to include organic wheatgrass and seasonal produce which is available throughout the greater Albuquerque area.

Staying true to our founders' mission, that individuals with developmental disabilities have the opportunity to be part of our community, La Paloma actively participates in a variety of community activities such as regular visits to the Albuquerque Botanical Gardens, the Natural History Museum and other community greenhouses and nurseries.

La Paloma is another example of the innovative and unique programs that make ARCA the model for our industry.
